A leading medical group says hot dogs are a choking hazard and urges a redesign.

What makes this foolish, and what no one else will tell you is the fact that in 2006 there were 61 deaths from choking on food in children under 15. Only some, maybe none of these deaths were due to hot dogs. Is this really worth a news item let alone a redesign of a perfectly fine food?
